California Fabric Mecca
I was in San Francisco this weekend, less the kids, and I finally got the chance to visit the Britex Fabric Store near Union Square. My wife bought me a sewing machine for my 40th and now I'm a novice sewer. I've always wanted to check this store out, they got it all!!! Next time I might actually buy something.

damn, I look like the jolly green giant. That was unplanned. Do I get credit?
ha ha! I missed the Jolly Green Giant thing til you pointed it out.
I must say I love discovering little meccas like that. You always wonder how you lived without them before!
sew on Paul! You'll have to start your own crafting blog!!
Hey! That looks like me!
how the H did I miss this place when I was down in Union Square two weekends ago? I am so incredibly jell-us!
This is where I'm going to take Zonda when she makes it to San Franciso! (someday)
I missed this place the first time I was looking for it a few months ago. It's "just off" union square, meaning it's about a half a block away, not obvious. There's a mapquest on thier website. Now I need to find a sewing project. hmmmm
this place is just a little bit of heaven let me tell you!
