I have a dirty little secret. In a world of Hybrid vehicles, everything 'green' and eco-friendly, with citizens in fear of Global Warming. . I drive a gas guzzling SUV, and I don't buy the cheap gas. We're talkin' $3.54 per gallon. . . yikes!

I wish I could have a hybrid to save some "green" in my pocket, but I am in the same boat as you, I have a minivan and it doesn't get great gas mileage either. Maybe one day when I don't have 200 lbs of dog I can get a smaller vehicle, until then I'll see you frequently at the pump!
I always laugh when I hear Americans talking about how much Petrol (gas) they use and what it costs....the cheapest unleaded petrol I can buy in my local area is about £1.90 a litre. Now, a gallon is about 4.5 litres so that would be £8.55 a gallon. At today's exchange rate that would be $16.77 for a gallon of unleaded petrol.
And you wonder why petrol consumption is a major selling point on cars over here?
If your petrol cost the same as ours I'm sure you would all think twice about your SUV's and vans....
Oh my goodness! $3.54! Wow. Now I don't feel so bad having to fill my Buick sedan! ;-)
I'm paying over $4 a gallon up here in the great white north! Mind you, I also drive an 8 cylinder Crown Victoria because my hubby is paranoid about getting hurt in a car accident.
YIKES! Even the 92 octane premium that I put in my car came in at $2.99/gallon just yesterday. Ouch, that's gotta hurt!
